Emma Rssx (1996) works between Bordeaux (FR) and Sofia (BG). (S)he graduated from Bordeaux Montaigne University (Bordeaux, FR) and Macquarie University (Sydney, AU) in 2018 and received a diploma in Visual Arts in 2021 from HEAD Genève (Geneva, CH).
Emma Rssx’s work delves into the web of the narrative, the manner in which we weave it, structure it, allow it to deviate from its original trajectory. Using painting, drawing, writing, sculptural pieces and installations, (s)he composes knitted narratives to be deciphered like a code.
Her work has been shown at CAPC musée d’art contemporain, Bordeaux (2021); Galerie Fabienne Lévy, Lausanne (2021); Prenzlauer Studio, Berlin (2021), Martin Asbæk Galerie, Copenhagen (2022); Rebonkers, Varna (2022) Continuum, Bordeaux (2022); 66e Salon de Montrouge, Montrouge (2022) and will be shown at Biennale Indépendante de Genève with Forde, Geneva (2023).
