Harcoline

Trained as an architectural designer, Harcoline is inspired by the spatial and structural possibilities of images. You can see this in her graphic work. The work is constructed and monumental in character. She analyses images or texts and cut them a certain way out of their original context. Then the parts are placed in a new order, with a new meaning. This work is part of the theme Plan no Logic; a plan with not necessary a rational logic but based on individual artistic decision making process.
In addition to working with context of images or texts Harcoline makes drawings of dreams, her other passion.
“I make drawings and collages, inspired by architecture, texts, dreams, structures, etc. I respond to images by “deconstructing” them and turn it into something new. Sometimes in a poetic, sometimes an analytical way, following my own logic and interest”.
Harcoline usually works on several themes at the same time. ?Curently she studies at the 3rd year of the art acadamy NAU Utrecht.
