is an exhibition concept devised to bring together a group of emergent artists from diverse cultural and disciplinary backgrounds and to inspire the development of new works. A literary text is chosen and functions as the anchor and title of the show. The artistic interpretations and reactions towards the text are shown in a final group exhibition that seeks to inspire art and book lovers alike and is keen to give insight into and open up discussion about artists' thought processes. The connections and interplay between literature, fine art and new media is what the group aspires to explore, looking closely at how literary text can function as a source of inspiration and a foundation for artistic practice. The works in the second exhibition will be based on ‘Netherland’ by Joseph O'Neill.
Participating artists:
Jarik Jongman, Hans Diemel, Cissie van der Ven, Fraser Stewart, Fabienne Zuijdwijk, Irma Oldenburg, Sarah Lüdemann, Dirk Moons.
