This work was created during my artist residency in Orta San Giulio, on the shores of Lake Orta. It was a place where I went surfing, explored the mountains and created a series of landscapes in acrylic on paper.

LIVELINESS
By the lake, at the edge of the valley. For the liveliness people or the one who need it. Landscape painting.

Liveliness is an original vibrant Italian acrylic landscape filled with color and movement. Expressive brushstrokes and bold contrasts of red, yellow, blue and green create a dynamic landscape where vegetation, architecture and the surrounding valley gradually blend into one another.

This work was created during my artist residency in Orta San Giulio, on the shores of Lake Orta. During my stay, I surfed, wandered through the mountains and painted a series of landscapes in acrylic on paper.

VIEW AT THE LAKE, JUST BEFORE THE STORM

View at the Lake, Just Before the Storm is an original acrylic landscape on paper, painted during my artist residency in Orta San Giulio, Italy.

Created by the lake as a storm was moving in, the painting reflects the changing atmosphere of the valley. Blues, greens, ochres and flashes of yellow run through the vegetation and distant landscape, while loose marks and layered paint bring movement and tension into the scene.

The work does not try to reproduce the landscape exactly. Instead, it holds the energy of that moment: warmth, shifting light and the feeling of weather gathering around the lake.
