Acryl gieten, ook wel acryl pouring of fluid art genoemd, is een schildertechniek waarbij je verdunde acrylverf op een ondergrond giet om abstracte kunstwerken te maken. De verf wordt gemengd met een speciaal gietmedium (pouring medium) om de viscositeit te veranderen, waardoor de kleuren vloeiend over elkaar heen lopen en unieke patronen en effecten ontstaan wanneer je het doek kantelt of manipuleert. Het is een ontspannende en verrassende techniek, waarbij het resultaat niet van tevoren voorspeld kan worden.
Hoe werkt het?
Verf verdunnen: Meng acrylverf met een gietmedium (pouring medium) om de verf vloeibaar en gietbaar te maken, zonder de glans en kleurkracht te verliezen. Je kunt ook water toevoegen, maar een medium is vaak beter voor het resultaat.

Verf mengen: Giet verschillende kleuren verf in aparte bekers.

Gieten: Giet de verschillende kleuren verf over elkaar op een ondergrond, zoals een canvas.

Manipuleren: Kantel, draai en beweeg het doek om de verf te laten vloeien en de kleuren te laten mengen. Hierdoor ontstaan unieke patronen.

Afwerken: Laat het werk 3 weeken drogen. Daarna word het versiert met verschillende technieken..all in all nemen deze werken een paar weken om deze mooie resultaten te verkrijgen.
