Seeking Composers/Musicians: Join a Collaborative Studio & Production Collective

Hello everyone,

My name is Rafaele Andrade. I am a musician and composer based in the Rotterdam region, and I am looking for three dedicated composer-musicians to co-found a high-end, shared creative hub and sound studio.


The Story
I’ve spent too much time working in music spaces designed like bunkers—soundproof boxes built for total isolation, where you can spend twelve hours a day without speaking to another human being. I’m done working like that.
Music is inherently social. It thrives on shared ideas, immediate feedback, and the kind of professional relationships that form naturally over a cup of coffee. I’ve realized that I need to change not only where I work, but how I work. This project is about rebuilding the human element in our daily creative practice.

The Vision
I want to create a studio environment that rejects the “bedroom producer” vacuum. This is not a short-term rental arrangement; it is a long-term partnership built around collaboration, trust, and professional growth.

* A Collaborative Ecosystem?: Most studios are designed to keep people apart. Ours would be designed to bring us together. Each of us would have our own working space, but with an open-door culture—being each other’s session players, engineers, and trusted sounding boards.
* The Hive-Mind Advantage: ?When you hit a creative wall at 2:00 PM, there should be a peer five feet away who can help you break through it. By pooling our gear, skills, and experience, we can build a “super-studio” that none of us could realistically sustain alone.
* A Unified Future?Beyond: sharing a space, the long-term goal is to form a VOF (general partnership). As a collective, we would be able to pitch for higher-level commercial commissions—film, television, radio, and live or interdisciplinary performances—as a single, powerful entity rather than four isolated freelancers.
* Shared Projects and Sustainability: ?Over time, I envision us actively working on projects together, sharing skills, networks, and support systems to make our careers more sustainable, profitable, and creatively fulfilling.

Who You Are
- You are a professional composer-producer who is active and committed to writing and production. You also play a musical instrument and are comfortable contributing both creatively and practically to collaborative projects.
- You value a collaborative “hive-mind” over working in isolation and believe that strong creative results come from proximity, exchange, and mutual support.
- You are ready to invest—both financially and professionally—in a shared studio space and to help build a collective, long-term future together with like-minded peers.
