Join MOKU-HANGA Printing Workshop and ORIZOME dyeing with washi Workshop on Saturday 19 April during Japan Market at Place 3 (Zoutmanstraat 26, Den Haag). Market open from 11:00 until 17:00. Free Entry.

Japanese traditional woodcut printing and a method of folding and dyeing trial workshops for everyone, from kids to adults. Registration and payment in cash on the table of Hanga Land. MOKU-HANGA Printing Workshop
1 session 30 min. / Cost 15 €
: a WASHI set with several size of Japanese paper including Sekishu Washi (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage), plus an original woodcut card. Take home all.

Japanese printmaker Yuriko MIYOSHI introduce a printing technique of Moku-hanga used for Ukiyo-e prints, how to print the beautiful classic motifs such as cherry blossoms, Mount Fuji etc.on Japanese paper Washi, using water-based inks, non-toxic tapioca starch paste, horsehair brushes and the BAREN hand printing tools.
