Kleurrijke schaduwen

There are a few days in the summer when no wind is blowing and the colors of the sea are crisp and clear. These are the days I enjoy the most. Painting the sea and the water gives me a thrill. I live in Holland and Greece, countries which offer enough water, pretty colors and calm and rough seas. Greece is more sunny rough and wild, and Holland is more gentle, cloudy and smooth. Both of these countries also offer colorful markets, restaurants and bars , great twilight colors, old boats, ancient cities and gentle people. These are also subjects that I enjoy painting. I also find travelling to new places and countries very stimulating as the new subject is always a challenge to the eye.
