On January 19 at 15:00 it's the vernissage of the group exhibition BLOAT at Micksart Gallery , Emmen.
Admission is free, and live music will be provided. Join us for a celebration that embraces movement, as it unites people. We warmly welcome and cordially invited you to raise a toast and meet artists from various disciplines. The opening remarks will be delivered by Malou te Wierik, art historian and co-owner of Buro Dertig, on behalf of artist Gerard te Wierik. Enjoy live performances by Eric Stevens and Sabrina Jorna.

“Omdat mijn kunstwerken non-figuratief zijn, denk ik dat de meeste mensen het zullen classificeren als abstract, conceptueel of zelfs minimalistisch. Ik zie mijn werk vooral als levende kunstsystemen opgebouwd uit geometrische vormen of elementen; een vloeiend patroon dat ik op een specifiek moment kan vastleggen. Mijn studie als architect aan de TU Eindhoven heeft mij de basis gegeven. De architectonische principes van lijn, punt, vierkant, raster en zonering hebben nog steeds een grote invloed op mijn kunstwerken.“
