Einar Been is originally a Dutch musician*, singer/songwriter and guitarist, who released four CD's between 1992 and 2004, including the sound carrier 'Back to Rotterdam.' In addition to solo performances he also played in several musicals such as 'Kaat Mossel' (the role of the singer/storyteller through the ages) and 'Fifty years existence of the Roterodamum foundation.' For both theaterproductions he also contributed in writing music and text.

In 2010 he was stricken with an occupational disease called focal dystonia that would eventually make it impossible for him to play the guitar. After an operation and one year of rehabilitation he stopped writing music and playing guitar.

In 2012 Been started making photographs seriously which resulted in 2013 in his first B/W exhibition entitled 'Afzien en Opbouwen', the one year lasting renovation of the Oudedijk and Vlietlaan in Kralingen/Rotterdam. 'Stairportal and Portraits'was his second B/W exhibition in 2014. Both exhibitions** were produced and organised in Pro Rege, a beautiful old building in Kralingen/Rotterdam.

In 2014 Einar started with staged photography.
