Louis van der Kruyk, The Hague, October 31, 1959, is a self-taught painter who trained himself. He tried many techniques and styles because they all fascinated him, except for the abstract.

First devoted years to realistic paintings and finding the technique that best suited him, he also left behind work such as motifs of somewhat symbolic paintings such as the young mother with the child, but also other portraits and some still lifes. The latter to a lesser extent, but there are some such as the shell still lifes and other work that is not currently depicted on this site.
The work of the Impressionists in particular has always fascinated him and this is certainly reflected in the motifs of his work, such as the lilies and paintings of London. There is a lot of work that the painter has done, but also a lot of work that is unfinished, which he sometimes returns to years later. These will be systematically depicted next to many other water lily paintings. The paintings depicted here are for sale, unless otherwise stated.
