Soft Voices continues her journey

16-10-2009 t/m 03-01-2010

Key of Life festival

Museum Boerhaave Leiden
The exhibition will be opened on 16 October at 4.30 p.m. by Prof. Dr. W.A. Wagenaar, Professor of Psychology at both Leiden and Utrecht University.

After earlier showings in Hubrecht’s former residence in Doorn and the Utrecht University Museum, Soft Voices comes to life in the twilight of several small exhibition rooms, ‘the Cabinets’ of Museum Boerhaave, surrounded by extraordinary collections and curiosities from the 18th and 19th centuries. In order to express the relationship with the past, Anna van Suchtelen selected a number of objects from the museum depot. These objects also tell the story of sound, time and memory.

Soft Voices on the road

09-07-2009 t/m 28-09-2009

Soft Voices has arrived at its second destination: the Universiteitsmuseum in Utrecht.

Soft Voices is a project by Dutch visual artist Anna van Suchtelen, committed by Kunstsporen Foundation, based on her research into the history of a remarkable house in Doorn. The work, an installation of glass objects, film and audio, deals with listening, the memory of sound, stories in the walls; the DNA of a house.
After the exhibition opening in Doorn, Soft Voices will travel as part of Darwin Year 2009 to Universiteitsmuseum Utrecht and Museum Boerhaave in Leiden.
