Kunstenaars uit Utrecht en daarbuiten hebben samen met het Grafisch Atelier / Centrum Beeldende Kunst Utrecht het initiatief voor de veiling genomen. Ze zijn al langer bij Japan betrokken, vanwege een grote uitwisselingstentoonstelling tussen Utrecht, Japan en Canada in 2007, die destijds ook in het Stadhuis te zien was.

some allegories on translational creativityWhen to throw a painting to a drowning man is a short film designed specifically for the attendants of the Eureka Translational Medicine Course, which will be held in Syracuse, Sicily, in May 2011. The film celebrates the transcendent nature of creativity, examining its potential as a skill and a tool for problem solving, critical thinking, networking, and teambuilding. During the TM Course week, artists Anna van Suchtelen and Brian Goeltzenleuchter will be on-site, developing artwork around ideas and strategies that are integral to both Translational Medicine and Translational Creativity.
