'While surfing on Internet we saw and appreciated your artworks published on your website and we would like to invite you to participate at this important exhibition organized by Trevisan International Art in Bologna, Italy. Your art language – with the interaction of industrial landscapes and architectures, textures and colours connection – creates rich and singular results. We believe that your vibrant and intense art research, together with your creative imaginary, will add personal and unique inputs to this upcoming exhibition. From 28 November till 10 December 2015, we will organize the 8th edition of the mini-format exhibition titled 'Little Treasures', a title that perfectly suits the precious and varied creativity of artworks on display in these shows. 'Little Treasures 2015' will be another singular TIA exhibition of mini-format where artists will release all their creativity showing four (4) small artworks of the size of cm 20x20 (or 8x8 inches).'

'These exhibitions of art-jewels have always proven extremely popular and have now become a strong attraction to many very fine creators and connoisseurs alike. "Little Treasures” has proven to be one of our most successful TIA annual events and is now in its eighth year. This will be a high class exhibition in which each piece will turned out to be a precious jewel to be discovered and admired for its uniqueness, as well as seen in comparison with the other works.'

'Naturally, we will publish a refined catalogue of the exhibition (cm 24x17) where each artist will be presented with two pages, including a short statement and a photo of one artwork. We had already seven editions of this show, unique in its style and format, and public warmly welcomed it each time, appreciating the individuality of each edition. The Galleria De Marchi in Bologna, our precious partner, will be glad to host again this singular and extraordinary exhibition of little treasures.'

Dutch National Art Days

15-16 November 2015 Nationale Kunstdagen AHOY - Rotterdam, NL

In 2015 the 5th version of the National Art Days took place. In Ahoy Rotterdam this time. A beautiful art fair with more than 1,000 works of art created by acclaimed Dutch artists. As participation in the National Art Festival is only possible by invitation. The valuation is made by visitors and a professional jury present at previous exhibitions.

The National Art Days 2015 took place on Saturday 14 and Sunday November 15th. 6,000 visitors have visited the exposition. Bert Hermans was there on both days.

Nationale Kunstweek

Van 7 tot en met 15 november vond in heel Nederland de Nationale Kunstweek plaats. Een groot aantal kunstinstellingen, galerieën, kunstuitlenen, kunstenaars en gemeenten boden tijdens de Kunstweek extra activiteiten, workshops, aanbiedingen, exposities en meer, waardoor kunstliefhebbers een week lang extra van beeldende kunst konden genieten.

Bert Hermans was een van de deelnemers aan de Nationale Kunstweek 2015 en hij stelde zijn atelier enkele dagen open voor belangstellende bezoekers.
Belangstellenden konden telefonisch een afspraak maken via 06-55324696 of via de email op deze website onder Contact. Op 9 en 10 november was er vrije inloop in het atelier aan de Vest 69 in Gouda van 10.00-16.00 uur.

De Kunstweek startte met de bekendmaking van de Kunstenaar van het jaar (www.kunstenaarvanhetjaar.nl) en werd afgesloten met een grootschalige, internationale kunstbeurs in Ahoy Rotterdam: de Nationale Kunstdagen (www.kunstdagen.nl) op 14 en 15 november.
Bert Hermans was ook een van de deelnemers aan de Nationale Kunstdagen en 9 van zijn schilderijen werden op 14 en 15 november in de AHOY in Rotterdam tentoongesteld (zie voor meer informatie onder Nationale Kunstdagen op deze website).

Exposition Gallery KunstZicht Waddinxveen Holland

From Thursday 29 October to December 19 2015 Bert Hermans was guest exhibitor in Gallery 'KunstZicht' in Waddinxveen Holland. He showed a number of oilpaintings of industrial heritage and cultural heritage. This includes old factories and historic buildings. He is using perspective and special color effects to create a special emanation.
The main theme of his work is industrial heritage. Sources of inspiration for his paintings are abandoned and often ruinous buildings. He records these often before demolition by photographs and skeches. These are elaborated in his atelier at the Vest in the historic citycenter of Gouda.
Use of color and use of light make his paintings to special events. Dark disconsolateness makes place to light and warmth. Regurlarly he adds characters to his paintings that provide another or an extra meaning to the image, like brides, monks and observers. The tension in their relation is sometimes nearly tangible.
Besides the oilpaint for the top layers he mostly uses acryl paint as ground-colour or priming. In several paintings he has used gold foil, acryl modelling and glazing gel.

Annual Dutch Art Fair, Amsterdam

The fifth edition of the Annual Dutch Art Fair, Amsterdam took place in 2015 on Saturday September 26th and Sunday September 27th. The ADAF is a two-day fair of artists and designers for appreciators of contemporary art and design. And not just any fair: the ADAF is the biggest, most beautiful and most professional fair where you can meet and buy the works of artists and designers directly.

As art appreciator, -buyer and –collector you can find a wide variety of contemporary art and design at the ADAF. Works vary from figurative to abstract and from traditional to progressive. More than 200 national and international artists and designers will exhibit about 1.700 2d-works and 3d-works.

The Annual Dutch Art Fair is easy to reach by public transport. Several trams and buses that leave from Amsterdam Central Station, stop a few minutes away from the Annual Dutch Art Fair at World Fashion Centre / Beursplaza. You can use 9292OV planner to plan your journey by public transport.

The Annual Dutch Art Fair is also easy to reach by car. The World Fashion Centre / Fair Plaza is located near the A10 Amsterdam and has a private parking . Parking costs are € 2.40 per hour with a maximum of € 16, - per day .

Raambuurt Expositie Gouda

Op 4 en 5 april 2015 is de eerste Raambuurt Expositie gehouden in de Agnietenkapel aan de Nieuwe Markt 100, Nieuwe Markt 100 (2801GR) in Gouda.
Vijftien kunstenaars uit de Raambuurt in Gouda exposeerden hun werk in de gotische kapel uit het midden van de 15e eeuw.
Openingstijden: zaterdag 4 april van 10.00-17.00 uur en zondag 5 april van 12.00-17.00 uur.

Kunst in de Vallei, Ede

Het kunstevenement werd georganiseerd door Stichting Kunst in de Vallei, voorheen Kunstmarkt Ede. Het evenement vond plaats in het Plantion, Wellensiekstraat 4, 6718 XZ Ede (langs de A30 afslag 1).

Ongeveer 110 kunstenaars worden jaarlijks geselecteerd met schilderkunst, keramiek, sieraadkunst, beeldende kunst, fotografie, brons, glas ,etc.
Met het evenement wil Kunst in de Vallei een podium zijn voor jong talent, betere amateurs en professionele kunstenaars. Kunst in de Vallei wil het publiek op een laagdrempelige wijze kennis laten maken met de kunst en de kunstenaars gelegenheid bieden hun kunst te exposeren en te verkopen.
Voor het kunstevenement bestaat jaarlijks een grote belangstelling en wordt bezocht door 2 á 3 duizend mensen. Veel waardering bestaat voor de diversiteit en kwaliteit van de kunst.
Kunstenaars hebben ook grote belangstelling voor het evenement. Een deskundige ballotagecommissie beoordeelt het werk van de kunstenaars en maakt uit de inschrijvingen een selectie.

Expositie Bert Hermans: ‘Industrieel erfgoed’

Bert Hermans was in zijn werkzame leven jurist en is nu een fervent amateurschilder. Sinds zijn pensionering heeft hij een atelier aan de Vest in Gouda, waar hij vooral olieverfschilderijen maakt. Zijn belangrijkste thema is industrieel erfgoed: hij schildert de schoonheid van oude, vervallen fabriekshallen en bedrijfsgebouwen, soms midden in de stad. Zo heeft hij een serie schilderijen gemaakt van de Croda fabriek (de voormalige kaarsenfabriek), een oud pakhuis aan de Tuinstraat en het voormalig Schipperswachtlokaal aan de Mallegatsluis in Gouda.
Het schilderij ‘Croda bij nacht’ geeft een mysterieuze kijk op een van de oudste industriële complexen van Gouda. In een maanverlichte nacht bruist en leeft de fabriek. Het centrale deel van het schilderij straalt zelfs een uitnodigende warmte uit. Tegelijkertijd schept het hek op de voorgrond afstand tussen de toeschouwer en de fabriek.
Bert Hermans brengt, met soms bijzondere kleurencombinaties, het industrieel erfgoed van Gouda en elders weer tot leven. In de expositie zijn ook enkele schilderijen opgenomen van industrieel erfgoed uit Rotterdam en Den Haag en uit Engeland en Duitsland.
