Water is the new liquid gold. In this fourth edition of the Summer Salon at the Kunstuitleen Alkmaar, you can immerse yourself in a tsunami of artworks inspired by water. The exhibition features a rich diversity of works and an abundance of artistic interpretations. I am delighted that one of my own artworks is also included.

Wanderings
08-03-2026 t/m 26-04-2026
On Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 PM, the exhibition Wandering will be opened at the KCB in Museum Kranenburgh, Hoflaan 26 in Bergen.
Delightfully wandering in unfamiliar areas, enjoying the exploration without a set plan, without boundaries in complete freedom. For me, wandering happens unconsciously, like a breeze. It is precisely the unexpected wanderings that lead to aha moments. These musings take me to my roots. And that Indonesian heritage resonates in this work. A continuing story of dream, memory, and imagination. What is constantly at the periphery of my consciousness comes to expression in this triptych. Here, the untold stories, the hidden photo albums, and the longing for unity come together, like in a self-portrait.
Opening hours: March 8 to April 26, Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Art for Gaza
13-02-2026 t/m 21-02-2026
This initiative is by Marieke van Esch from the Kunstuitleen Alkmaar together with a number of visual artists. I also want to turn the helpless feeling about the situation in Gaza into a positive action that will hopefully make a small difference. The goal is to raise as much money as possible for the victims in Gaza. All artworks cost between €30 and €300 according to the 'pay what you can' system. Low-income individuals pay 25% less than the set sale price, people who can afford more pay 25% more, based on trust. The location Fabrique Unique is provided free of charge and everything is on a voluntary basis. The two charities: Save the Children and the Palestine Fund (Plant an Olive Tree).
Opening hours: Saturday, February 14 through Thursday, February 19, from 1 PM – 5 PM.
I presented four early paintings to a panel of 40 people. Curious which painting will be displayed at Fabrique Unique? Come by, support the people in Gaza, and score a real Prud’homme de Lodder for a bargain.
