My work consists of autonomous conceptual photo works, photo sculptures – monumental spatial constructions or installations in which photos are incorporated – and video sculptures. From the start my work has mostly been a quest for the coherence between the arts of photography, video, painting and sculpture, this consistent with the disciplines I studied earlier. I make my work mainly in series with different themes and points of departures. Within the conceptual framework I give free rein to my intuition and my emotion. My work of recent years centers on human vulnerability and transience. Opposites such as individual / collective and anonymous/personal also play a part in my work. Upon closer consideration though, they also try to make the more general, collective store of images and memories visible, thus creating an interaction between the individual and the collective memory. The quest for the transformation from the material to the spiritual is a motive in my work. In this way images are created that act as a mediator between mind and matter, nature and culture, the conscious and the unconscious, between dream and reality.

Mon œuvre consiste en plusieurs séries de photos autonomes, photo-sculptures, constructions spatiales avec des photos intégrées et vidéo-sculptures. Dès le début j’ai cherché dans mon œuvre un lien entre la photographie et la peinture/la sculpture, ceci en cohérence avec mes études préalables. Dans ce cadre conceptuel je laisse mon intuition et mon émotion s’épanouir. Ces dernières années mon œuvre est centré sur la vulnérabilité humaine et l’éphémère. Les oppositions telles que l’individuel/ le collectif et l’anonyme/ le personnel jouent aussi un rôle. Par ailleurs j‘essaie de rendre visible le stock collectif d’images et de souvenirs plus communs, ce qui crée une interaction entre la réminiscence individuelle et collective. La quète de la transformation du matériel vers le spirituel est un motif dans mon œuvre. De cette façon apparaissent des images qui servent d’intermédiaire entre l’esprit et la matière, la nature et la culture, le conscient et l’inconscient, le rêve et la réalité.
