Lives and works in Est.
After her education at the Academy of Visual Arts, Utrecht. (Illustration) she has illustrated many children's books and teaching materials for children.

At the end of the 1990s she started looking for a different, free direction and developed her painting skills to where she is now. Her work consists of oil paintings and works on paper (watercolour).
Themes include: the origin of life, a series and interaction of coincidences. Organisms, cells, patterns and ceatures. The search for a new order and its own visual language and atmosphere form the basis for creation.

Oil paintings and works on paper (watercolour)

Painting in watercolor and oil paint involves drying processes. The material largely determines the working method. Details are not worked out. It should preferably be good the first time. Applied directly as writing. This requires concentration and confidence.
It took a long time before she developed a method that fits this view. Wet on wet.
Working in watercolor alternates with painting in oil paint.
