There was mention of a mountain tribe in Vietnam, who believe in an ancient myth that the Enlightenment is brought by a child on the back of a whale. This really appealed to me. I have made the statue several times, including in clay and plaster. And this one-of-a-kind is in bronze, greenish patinated.
