In the heart of the Sologne, the crossroads of three departments of Cher, Loir-et-Cher and Loiret in France, Clémont is one of those places that you fall in love. Its large network of municipal roads is an opportunity to explore on foot or bike the beautiful region of Sologne.
On the road to the pond of the Well is the castle of Lauroy small brick dating from the 16th century.

Bert made this painting after a visit to the 'Château de Lauroy' in Clémont at the end of May 2018. The castle and the garden are not accessible to the public, but together with the president of the 'Association de Sauvegarde du Patrimoine de Clémont', Bert could make a tour through the castle and the garden with stables, boathouse (on this painting) and chapel.
