Vastelaovends poster 2022 This poster has as theme the youth of Maastricht. They give us a look at the future: where the Corona time is behind us and we can celebrate "uzze vastlaovend" again in all freedom. In the foreground we see a handcart with three children playing in it. If you look closely you can see what they are playing with. A lost mouth cap hangs from a drumstick. Undoubtedly, the cap will swing into the air and disappear among the hopping crowd. The children are placed in a circle, in the middle of this circle a child is dancing towards the center of the poster, if you continue this line you will see a nurse standing. This nurse symbolizes the people in care who can also celebrate instead of caring. In the harmony in the background you see two people dressed as booster shots, the name on the “dikke zjiem” also refers to the booster. The place where it all takes place is also the title of the painting.
