Julia Maximova
Julia is a self-taught artist born and raised in St-Petersburg, Russia, now living in the Netherlands. She loves bright, vibrant colors and simple lines. Her inspiration comes from the beauty of the nature around her.
She works spontaneously and rarely begins with a set plan in mind. She lets each painting evolve intuitively as she builds each layer of paint. Her style is a combination of chaos and control.
Her paintings are reflections of her surroundings and an imaginary world- a secret garden of her soul. A place that she can go to escape and be lost within.
