kunstinzicht.nlIf I had to describe my works, I would call them figurative-abstracts that are put on the canvas in an expressive manner. Each piece of art differs from the other; however, the basis never changes. I only use a palette knife that becomes a part of me as I work. During the painting process, I don’t have images in my mind. I just sketch; I never think. I try to cut off my thoughts. I work by means of my senses and switch off my mind. My intuition tells me how to proceed.
During the painting session, I don’t seem to exist. There is no sense of time or place; there is only the canvas and the paint. It’s an unconscious process. It’s physical work. I, the canvas, and the paint are entirely one. It feels like magic, which is lovely.
