Madeleine Oosterbaan
Madeleine Oosterbaan has always had a strong interest in art. While living in Paris she took the leap and started following art classes at the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs.There, she soon found she had a particular affinity with clay sculpture, later also venturing into bronze. Over the years she has developed her own distinct style which is visible throughout her oeuvre, yet every piece retains its individuality. With her pieces, Madeleine creates worlds which are dreamlike, places to wander through, to linger in. It becomes possible for the observer to wade through these worlds of impossible constructions, investigating the nooks and crannies of fantastical places. Each angle offering a new opportunity for exploring.
