Kunstvaarroute, Westsingel Amersfoort, 2005

This installation is located in a Dutch canal, only visible and hearable from a boat.

A weeping willow bends into the water and forms a natural children’s hiding hut: a secret place for stories. The leaves rustle: the willow tells its story. Sealed bottles filled with numbers hang in the branches. When the boat sails underneath the tree, one hears a text. A voice tells about swaying, falling, landing, growing. Time passes. Jane is about the process from childhood to maturity. The message in the bottle is time.
