350.org International Environmental Organization.
The CO2 target of 350 ppm is the focus of an international campaign announced in various media by the Tällberg Forum. This follows NASA Chief Scientist James Hansen and his colleagues' goal of limiting the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to 350 ppm (parts per million). The aim is to prevent global climate change with potentially major and irreversible consequences for human society and the natural environment.

This is how the organization: 350.org was founded in Kyoto Japan in 1997, an international environmental organization that aims to create a global movement to reduce the concentration of CO2 to 350 Parts Per Million and thus prevent dangerous climate change. It was founded by writer Bill McKibben who wanted to stimulate a global grassroots movement to raise awareness about anthropogenic climate change to combat climate change denial and reduce carbon emissions.
The 350 ppm target comes from research conducted by James Hansen who stated in a 2007 scientific paper that 350 ppm is the safe limit to prevent tipping points in the climate system. More recent CO2 measurements show that the CO2 concentration has already exceeded 400 ppm(v) since 2015.

The Dutch branch of 350.org is mainly committed to divestment campaigns, the most important of which is the call for pension funds and universities to remove their investments in fossil fuels.

The Kyoto Protocol is an elaboration of the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The name Kyoto comes from the name of the Japanese city where the 1997 climate conference took place. All EU member states and 164 other countries pledged in the Kyoto Protocol to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by eight percent compared to 1990 in the period 2008-2012.

The Kyoto Protocol was adopted on December 11, 1997. Thanks to a complex ratification process, it entered into force on February 16, 2005. There are currently 192 parties to the Kyoto Protocol.
In short, the Kyoto Protocol operationalizes this process by requiring industrialized countries and economies in transition to limit and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with agreed individual targets.
