This work is inspired by another work of Van de Graaf, ‘God’s Breath of Life’ and Patmos (Greece), a place so beautiful and pure, like a Garden of Eden on earth. A place which feels as a place where God can easily touch the souls of his children. The painting is also a reference to the work ‘The Creation of Adam’ by Michelangelo (c. 1508 - 1512).
