This work is part of the series 'Silence and The City' (2019 - 2020). ‘Silence and The City’ is inspired by New York City and the search for contemplation and inner silence in everyday life, about finding meaning in life and the connection of the spiritual world with everyday life.
Inspired by New York City, directions in life and the endless roads of dreams. Walking through the streets of New York City with endless possibilities, where streets seem to dissolve in eternity, where dreams are the light in the streets and melt with islands of silence within the city.
Poem written about the inspiration of the painting: 'Enlighted roads of dreams, lead me through the unknown. Protected by faith, I give myself to the light, who guides me the way I should go. Not knowing where to arrive, only my dreams, the love and faith are the beacons on my way.'
