Lecture + Demonstration + Workshop (papermaking) by Japanese printmaker Yuriko Miyoshi

Let's make paper from Japanese Kozo ourselves.
And because I would like you to learn the difference in quality between different kinds of washi paper, I also show several Japanese kozo papers and gampi papers which I often use for my etching and woodcut prints. I can tell about the study about Rembrandt who might use Japanese paper and my experiences visiting several Japanese paper makers including Gampi paper maker in Japan.

PRICE? €50.- p.p. (3 hours)
It is including material costs such as Kozo (paper mulberry), Gampi (Diplomorpha sikokiana) and cotton pulp, use of tools for papermaking: SU (bamboo screen) and KETA (double wooden frame).
Every participant receives an original Japanese print (etching or woodcut) on Washi.
