BLOODSPORT is a group exhibition curated by Isabelle van Manen & Doron Beuns about the sublime allure of interior anatomy in technologically advanced societies. There is hardly anything more compelling than scrolling our devices and encountering a sequence of carnivore diets, medical education videos, conspiracies about blood thirsty elites and decaying bodies. Paradoxically, we assert ourselves as vital beings through these gory confrontations. Something is pulling us beyond repulsion. Is our subconscious attraction to cruelty threatening our progressive intentions for the future?
