I'm Gerard Hoekstein, Art Photographer.
In 1974 I bought my first film SLR camera and from then on I started my photography career.
The basis for my photography was founded at the Academy for Photography (NAVB). After the education a followed many masterclasses and courses, a lot of them with famous photographers. Every day I study to keep track of the latest developments in technique. But next to technique most important is of course creativity and personal contact with the client. This makes the difference when creating an artwork.
There is no such thing as chance in creating a work of art it's the result of a good concept, the best possible technique and closely working together.
