I make figurative work that arises from the interaction between the model in front of me and myself. My inner feelings play a big part in this. For me, the emotion that a model sends with non verbal signs with body and face are more important than that its a exactly liking portrait or model. I want to look behind the mask of the person.

I became an artist because for many years i was on the sideline of my creativety and on my fiftieth I thought it was time to take that creativity to a higher level. So thats my i applied for an academic degree in sculpting.

I naturally feel good if i am outside in forests or beaches, so thats why I use also materials such as wood shells and seaweed in my work. Sometimes I let that incorporate in their original form and sometimes the sculpture is in bronze.
Also, I am very aware of the speed at which we live in right now so recycling old with new and preserving our planet for future generations, I use in my work.
