Dear deer

Once I met this little deer in a Dutch forest, left alone by its group. I was struck by its vulnerability and realized that I couldn't save it. By putting this little deer, years later, in a contrasting man-made 'natural' surrounding (because we all like nature when its on a postal stamp size, nice and clean) it seems to play a role in a miniature -shoe box- play. A play with façades. The deer is too close to the viewer to focus on. We focus on our own convenience. This is the friction I wanted to portray.
