Kathleen’s professional career has been in costume design. Currently, she is focusing her talents in her art, photography and interior design. Somewhat of a “closet artist” Kathleen has been recently cultivating and acuminating her style and exhibiting in galleries around the world. Kathleen’s style is abstract expressionist with a focus on inner thoughts that seep out in text laid onto her paintings.
She creates collages pieced together with words and imagery from vintage magazines which remind her of how female roles have developed and changed for the better.
Her inspirations come from feelings, nature, epigrams, architecture and humor from everyday life.
Her favorite artists are Gerhard Richter, Ed Ruscha, Clyford Still, Robert Motherwell and Marc Chagall.
Kathleen currently resides in The Netherlands.
