Explore the beautiful world and possibilities of clay in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere in my studio where you can follow the course "Creative Ceramics". Previously the same course was given in Hanoi and in Dhaka and from September 2023 onwards it started in The Hague. As an experienced teacher, I like to share my knowledge with around 6 students in 6 weekly sessions.
The course is intended for beginners and also for people who have worked with clay before and want to deepen their experience. The guidance is in Dutch and in English but Spanish is also possible.
What to expect?
In a joyful way you learn the basic techniques of hand-moulding with clay, including building up with rings, working with plates of clay and hollowing out a solid piece. You make one piece during each lesson. After four sessions, everything is ready for the biscuit firing in the ceramic kiln. In the last two sessions we glaze everything and it will be fired for the second time.
If you already have experience, you can start on a larger piece of work for which you can allocate several sessions. My professional guidance will then be individually focused.
When?
The sessions take place on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The new course starts on February 28, 2024
Where?
The studio is in the SoZa building, Anna van Hannoverstraat 4, 2595 BJ The Hague. Very easy to reach by public transport, because it is located at the exit of Laan van NOI station in The Hague.
