This painting is inspired by a visit that Bert paid on 12 May 2016 to the former ship repair yard 'DordtYart' in Dordrecht.
DordtYart is an international center for contemporary art, housed in a former shipyard in Dordrecht. Every season, ten artists work to produce a new work in the inspiring spaces of the industrial building. They also post an existing work. DordtYart's program emphasizes sculpture and installation art and is aimed at the encounter between artists, visitors and young people who combine work with learning.
