/..../The Polish artist Krystyna Ziach, has asked different female artists in her entourage to pose for her in the artist’s studio. She asked each one to become absorbed, with closed eyes, in a deep interior evocation of themselves, related to their feelings or their practices – thus this title of Inner Eye. As Bernard Noël wrote in his Journal du regard: “The world has no other/interior side, except behind our eyes: this reversal is called vision. But everyone does prefer the sight which puts the things up the right side.” Follower of this interiorized regard; she gives great power to these large size portraits, where nudity, as well as the returned regard, indicates the confidence between models and photographer, out of any staging./..../
