9-11 November 2018 Dutch National Art Days Beursfabriek Nieuwegein (near Utrecht)

In 2018 the 8th version of the National Art Days will again take place in the Beursfabriek in Nieuwegein near Utrecht in the Netherlands. It is a beautiful art fair with more than 1,000 works of art created by acclaimed Dutch artists. Participation in the National Art Days exhibition is only possible by invitation. The valuation is made by visitors and a professional jury present at previous exhibitions.

The National Art Days 2018 will take place on Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 November. More than 3500 visitors are expected. Bert Hermans will be there on these days and would welcome meeting you there. He was also one of the exposers of the National Art Days exhibition in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Art San Diego

The show features over 500 leading contemporary artists, museum exhibitions, Art Labs, events, and Art Talks focused on collecting. The scenic Wyland and Expo Center, a 30,000+ square foot exhibition space is located just 20 miles north of downtown San Diego.

Annual Dutch Art Fair (ADAF) Amsterdam 2018

In October 2018 Bert Hermans will exhibit again his paintings at the ADAF 2018. The eight edition of the Annual Dutch Art Fair, Amsterdam, Netherlands takes place in 2018 on Friday 12 (for VIP-guests), Saturday Ocotober 13 and Sunday October 14. The ADAF is a three-day fair of artists and designers for appreciators of contemporary art and design. And not just any fair: the ADAF is the biggest, most beautiful and most professional fair where you can meet and buy the works of artists and designers directly.

As art appreciator, -buyer and –collector you can find a wide variety of contemporary art and design at the ADAF. Works vary from figurative to abstract and from traditional to progressive. More than 200 national and international artists and designers will exhibit about 1.700 2d-works and 3d-works.

The Annual Dutch Art Fair is easy to reach by public transport. Several trams and buses that leave from Amsterdam Central Station, stop a few minutes away from the Annual Dutch Art Fair at World Fashion Centre / Beursplaza. You can use 9292OV planner to plan your journey by public transport.

The Colorfield Performance CH 2018

On June 10, 2018 Bert participated in The Colorfield Performance CH 2018. With the fact that Leeuwarden, the capital of the province Friesland in The Netherlands, has been appointed becoming European Capital of Culture 2018, Dirk Hakze, a Dutch artist launched an initiative for a new project as part of an artistic series called The Colourfield Performance. The Colourfield Performance is the collective term for an extraordinary land art project that Dirk Hakze aims to carry out in collaboration with other artists. The concept is to bring together individual artistic contributions in the form of a single larger scale community project. In this constellation, it is possible to create a prominent work of art, while forming a distinctive symbol set in the landscape.
The idea for this new version of The Colorfield Performance CH 2018, is to create a collaborative work of art with 400 artists in the year 2018. This fits fantastically with the theme “Community”. The work of art has the dimensions of a land-art style project. In an open landscape, 2018 easels will be erected on wooden stakes. The easels with white panels will be arranged to create an equilateral triangle of 144 meters per side.
Using a waterproof multiplex panel measuring 122 cm x 122 cm, the idea is that all participants complete one work of art per day. The work will be carried out in daily groups of 8 artists. Each participating artist is invited to exercise complete and total freedom of expression in creating his or her artwork on the spot.

Bert has been been invited by Colorida Art Gallery to exhibit six works from April 21, 2018 until May 4 2018.
Colorida Art Gallery was founded in 2007. The gallery is located by the Castle of Sao Jorge in the highest hill of the historic centre of Lisbon, in a building more than 150 years old. Its principal focus is the representation of an international group of contemporary artists whose diverse practices include painting, photography, sculpture and drawing. Embracing artists who are both emerging and established, trained and self taught, Colorida cultivates artist growth and makes a vital contribution to the European arts community. Colorida Art Gallery seeks to provide its artists with a solid podium that achieves both to best present the individuality of their works and to draw attention to the works inherent cultural significance. The gallery has a strong commitment to its artists and has worked with galleries and institutions around the world to establish their careers. Most of its artists have had extensive museum activity, monographs, critical acclaim and important recognition from the international collectors community.
